A cheap basic Bluetooth remote to scroll your roadbook

Having remote buttons is a great way to scroll your roadbook and make adjustments to your tripmeter. There are lots of options out there from many different providers. It is safer to press the button to progress the roadbook rather than scroll it on your device. If you mount the button set in the right place, you can just hit it with your thumb without taking your hand off the bars.

We found this cost effective option that works very well, is easy to mount and is easy to pair. We use this Bluetooth remote when following Roadbook Tours in the car. They are as easy to wrap around the steering wheel as they are to wrap around the handlebars on your bike.

Once you have it paired with your phone or tablet, the buttons have the following functions in the TerraPirata Rally Roadbooks app.

  • Volume + increases the tripmeter

  • Volume - decreases the tripmeter

  • Track forward scrolls the roadbook to the next note

  • Track back scrolls the roadbook to the previous note
