How to get a roadbook on to your device

Getting the roadbook on your device

We use the TerraPirata RallyRoadbooks app to deliver our roadbooks. The app is available for both Android and Apple devices. Your device will need to have a GPS built in to run the app. It is available in both the Play Store and the App Store. We suggest you use the Android version of the app if possible. This is really important if you are planning to use your device to follow roadbooks “offline”. The Android version works better without internet service and is a more developed app.

Here is how the delivery process works:

1. Download the TerraPirata RallyRoadbooks app for your phone or tablet from the App Store. CLICK HERE for a link. In addition to the download, there is more good info about the app here. Well worth the look!

2. Install the TerraPirata RallyRoadbooks app and create your TerraPirata account.

3. Go to our Northwest Roadbooks Store and purchase the roadbooks you would like to ride.

4. When your order is complete, we will authorize access to the roadbook you ordered for you using your TerraPirata account email address. This is a manual process for us so please be patient. We try to fulfill orders as quickly as possible. Once we have completed the fulfillment, you will receive an email to let you know the order was fulfilled. Check your spam.

5. Look on your TerraPirata RallyRoadbooks app and find the roadbook you ordered in your list of available roadbooks. Be sure to hit the Refresh button when you open the list to make sure you have the most current list available. To make it easier to find the roadbook, click All in the upper left corner of the list and choose United States to filter the list down.

6. Click on the roadbook you ordered in the list. This brings up the summary page. Read thru the notes for more information about the route.

7. Click the DOWNLOAD ROADBOOK button on the summary page.

8. Once the roadbook is downloaded, click the OPEN ROADBOOK button on the summary page.

9. Do Step 6 thru Step 8 for each roadbook you plan to ride.

10. Now you are ready to use the roadbook away from your internet service.

NWRoadbooks.com has some free test roadbooks available in the store. Many of them are “in town” routes. We suggest you download the TerraPirata RallyRoadbooks app and try one of the available “in town” routes to get a feel for how roadbook navigation works before going out on one of our more rustic roadbooks.
